Did you know?
Clean, American, low-cost natural gas is an opportunity for all Americans, so let’s make it count in the New Year.
Since 2005, the United States has been the world leader in reducing CO2 emissions. Our global leadership is due to the transition to natural gas as an energy source for which the Intergovernmental on Climate Change, the International Energy Agency, and the U.S. Energy Information Administration all agree on.
While we are helping our environment, this cleaner fuel is bringing the benefit of affordability to American households and protecting the 51 million middle- and lower-income families and those living on a fixed income, who spend about 1/3rd of their after-tax income on energy.
It is also helping to avert 11,000 winter deaths per year in the U.S. and helping low-income households avoid the adverse health and welfare impacts of high energy costs that include going without medical care, not filling a prescription, not paying the mortgage or rent, not having food, or becoming sick from not having heat.
With the New Year of 2020 days away, let’s make our resolution count by ensuring clean, American, low-cost natural gas becomes the cornerstone for American prosperity for all.
