5 years later, our mission continues
September 23, 2024
This fall, TEA is celebrating its 5th anniversary of fighting for affordable, reliable and clean American energy security. And, that makes it a great time to look back at all we’ve accomplished, but also forward as our fight continues.
Since our beginning, TEA’s core mission has been to educate both everyday Americans and our elected leaders about the importance of energy affordability and security. Our educational initiatives have included:
- Our USA Energy Affordability Map provides information about state-based energy and economic stats to educate our supporters about their local energy issues, as well as state and county data that shows the importance of energy affordability issues to voters in your area.
- The TEA Newsroom brings you the top “Energy News Of The Day” from around the country and the globe.
- Our 8-point Common Sense Energy Agenda is a step-by-step guide to an energy independent U.S. where affordable, clean and reliable energy like American natural gas is available to everyone.
And TEA’s work on energy education has led to action in the form of legislation and policy:
- Most recently, TEA has championed the Energy Security ARC, which encourages national leaders in Washington and local leaders in our states to champion cost-effective energy policies.
- TEA’s Natural Gas is Green initiative led to legislation and policies at the state and local level that officially labeled natural gas a clean and green energy sources, a tremendous win for energy consumers.
- TEA released 2024 Candidate Scorecards in key congressional races to help voters know where their candidates stand on energy affordability and security. And, hundreds of leaders have signed TEA’s Declaration of Energy Independence pledging their support for the four pillars of energy independence.
We have accomplished a lot in our five-year mission of educating and activating TEA’s Energy Affordability Voters. But, as we’ve seen with the damaging and short-sighted energy policies from the Biden-Harris Administration that led to spikes in energy costs and skyrocketing inflation, we must continue and grow our efforts.
We would like to thank our TEA activists for five years of support and ask you to continue this fight with us for the next five years and beyond! Our fight has only just begun, and we’ve got work to do.
