The holiday shopping season officially kicked off this weekend, and those huge totals at the register are a stark reminder of the toll the “Biden Bill”—increased prices driven by inflation and skyrocketing energy costs—is taking on American families.

Biden’s “Build Back Better” is a catchy slogan. But, this isn’t the kind of building that hard-working Americans need nor want. No government in the history of the world has spent as much money as the Biden administration is right now. Their out-of-control spending binge has resulted in rapid inflation across the board.

And, what they’ve done to American energy is the most damaging. For the last year the Biden Administration has undermined American energy independence at every turn. 

Canceling the permits for the Keystone pipeline, halting leases on federal lands and potentially increasing taxes on domestic producers are just a few of the ways he’s contributed to the increased costs Americans are paying every day.

• Gasoline prices have been steadily climbing for months and are now around 60 percent higher than they were a year ago.
• Electricity rates have increased by over 6 percent since last year
• Utility gas prices for home heating and appliance have increased by nearly 30 percent over the past year, and experts predict heating costs could be as much as 50 percent higher this winter

This isn’t building back better. This is the burdensome “Biden Bill” on Americans all wrapped up in a bow just in time for the holidays. And, that is why it is important for you to support the leaders who are pushing back on this costly agenda and encourage them to sign onto TEA’s Declaration of Energy Independence if they haven’t already. Together, we can tell the President to keep his green-at-all-costs agenda because hard-working Americans aren’t buying it.
