AFTERNOON TEA

High-flying hypocrites 🚫🛩️

Another week and more climate-change hypocrisy to report. Noted author and energy expert Robert Bryce provides details of the “Climate Aristocrats” who want to take away your natural gas stove, while they burn through hundreds of thousands of gallons of jet fuel each year.

Topping the list of these high-flying hypocrites is former New York City mayor and multi-billionaire Michael Bloomberg. Bloomberg is giving hundreds of millions of dollars to groups that want to ban natural gas stoves in our homes. But, last year, his private jets burned a whopping 328,000 gallons of jet fuel.

To put that into perspective Bloomberg’s total is roughly 670 times more than the volume of gasoline consumed by an average American motorist. Bloomberg is not alone. Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and Laurene Powell Jobs each took hundreds of flights and burned over half a million gallons of jet fuel between them.

Zuckerberg and Musk have been quite outspoken about climate change. Musk has declared that “climate change is the biggest threat that humanity faces this century.”

And, Jobs is one of “The Billionaires Behind The Gas Bans.” She was a founding board member of Climate Imperative, a new climate activist group that is spending more than $200 million per year to push “rapid scaling of renewable energy, widespread electrification of buildings and transportation, stopping the expansion of fossil fuel infrastructure.”

Talk about the heights of hypocrisy from the elitist, green-at-any-cost crowd. As Bryce puts it: “When it comes to climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Bloomberg, Jobs, Musk and Zuckerberg, are, literally, above it all.”
