AFTERNOON TEA
Americans stand with Speaker Johnson on 🇺🇸 energy
TEA is supporting a new, common-sense energy agenda to Make Clean American Energy Affordable Again. The Energy Security ARC is the plan American families need to ensure we all have access to Affordable, Reliable and Clean energy.
The upcoming election will be crucial to empowering leaders who understand how important protecting our American Energy Security is, but officials like U.S. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson are already stepping up. Johnson has led members of the U.S. House on a series of sensible energy bills in Congress. Just a few of the bills proposed include:
- H.R. 1058—Promoting Cross-border Energy Infrastructure Act from Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) to fix regulations that are preventing the construction of new and environmentally more efficient refineries, especially those capable of refining America’s own sweet crude oil.
- H.R. 1167—Recognizing Natural Gas as an affordable and green energy from Rep. Troy Balderson (R-OH), a commonsense approach to improving the environment in a responsible manner that does not bankrupt our economy or place the cost burden on families.
- H.R. 7655—Pipeline Safety, Modernization, and Expansion Act of 2024 from Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC), to invest in our electricity grid infrastructure to make sure it is reliable for the future and able to withstand threats like severe weather conditions.
- H.R. 21—the Strategic Production Response Act, and H.R. 22—Protecting America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve from China Act from Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) to replenish our Strategic Petroleum Reserves.
Over 58 million American Energy Patriots prioritize energy affordability. This fall, they will be looking to support candidates who champion cost-effective energy policies like the above. Thankfully, we already have leaders championing America’s Energy Security ARC. Under Speaker Johnson’s leadership, several other pieces of common-sense energy legislation are working their way through Congress. Check out TEA’s new ARC page for even more information about these sensible energy policies.
