With about six months to go until the 2024 election, it’s time to take a look at the energy stakes that are on the ballot this year. That’s why TEA is announcing a new tool, the USA Energy Affordability Map for energy citizens and leaders. The map provides key “Energy Affordability Voter Data” and facts about how affordable energy like natural gas impact your state.

We’ve been discussing the damaging, green-at-any-cost energy policies of the Biden Administration for some time. Biden has propped up his “green” energy agenda with taxpayer-funded subsidies while attacking the traditional American energy industry. The result has been skyrocketing inflation driven by ever-increasing energy prices that American families literally can’t afford for another four years.

But, the presidential race isn’t the only election where our energy future is at stake this year:

• Competitive races in states like Ohio and Montana will determine the make-up of the U.S. Senate. A senate favorable to American energy affordability and security could help return Washington to a common-sense energy agenda and block bad policies that have fueled inflation.
• A U.S. House of Representatives (combined with the senate) that favors an affordable, reliable and clean energy agenda would allow an opportunity to lead and not just play defense on energy issues. Key races in California, New York and Pennsylvania should see energy as a top issue.
• Some of the most important energy policies don’t even come from Washington D.C.. Races for governor and for state legislatures in places like West Virginia and Arizona will set the tone for energy policies even closer to home.

It’s never too early to start considering the elections that will determine America’s energy future.
