Arizona utility regulator: Natural gas is key to the state’s energy future for now

As Arizona continues to attract more residents and new industries such as data centers, the state will need to rely on a diverse energy mix to keep the lights on, spearheaded in the interim by natural gas, before renewable power can take over, regulators say.
