Rhode Island Energy rejects joint bid for offshore wind project

Rhode Island Energy has rejected a joint bid from offshore wind developers Ørsted and Eversource for an offshore wind project in Rhode Island. The utility company cited “high proposed contract costs” as the reason for rejecting the bid, stating that it would be too expensive for its customers.
