Virginia bill aims to cut residential energy costs by shifting expenses to data centers

NORFOLK, Va. — A bill is in motion that could force data centers to shoulder more energy costs and provide relief for residential rates. Analysts project that, if passed, it could save residents more than $5.50 a month or more than $65 a year.
