Common Sense
MORE AFFORDABLE ENERGY: President Trump has once again delivered on energy affordability and security. The Bureau of Land Management recently generated nearly $4.5 million in revenue from an oil and gas lease sale in Utah.
Why it matters: Americans are looking for relief from high energy costs. By lowering the federal onshore royalty rate to 12.5 percent, it makes oil and gas development more economically attractive to industries across the country.
Consider: When Congress passed the Working Families Tax Cut Act, also known as the One Big Beautiful Bill, the royalty rate reset for new federal onshore oil and gas production to a minimum of 12.5 percent, reversing the 16.67 percent rate set by the Biden Administration.
- By lowering the federal onshore royalty rate, the cost of doing business on public lands is more affordable.
- This change also supports an increase in energy production.
- The BLM’s lease sales help meet our energy needs domestically and help establish the U.S as an energy leader worldwide.
Bottom line: President Trump, through both legislation and executive orders, is committed to unleashing American energy by increasing production to make energy more affordable and reliable while strengthening energy security for future generations. An ARC Energy Security executive order would only make that legacy stronger.
Nonsense
EXTREMISM ON DISPLAY: Climate change conspiracy theorist Al Gore is back again! “He compared the effort to make a cleaner world to the U.S. civil rights movement, Nelson Mandela’s anti-apartheid movement and women’s equality efforts as ‘the other great morally based challenges that humanity has confronted in the past.'” (Seriously, it’s in the link…)
Why it matters: It is obvious that the path to more affordable energy is through the expansion of the use of reliable and secure energy sources such as oil, gas, coal. Americans cannot rely on renewables only to keep the lights on and our homes heated.
Consider: The former VP sees a good chance the world is peaking its use of coal, oil and gas. And… he thinks it’s a good thing! This is obviously only true in whatever altered universe Al Gore has been living in since he lost in 2000.
Bottom line: Lunatics like Al Gore cry about the so-called climate change “crisis” that they themselves created. Their radical agenda over the past decade has resulted in an energy affordability crisis in our country.
Midterm spotlight
