TEA Statement on Treasurers’ Letter to Kerry
EMPOWERMENT ALLIANCE: COMMON SENSE STRIKES BACK!
WASHINGTON – The Empowerment Alliance (TEA) today offered its enthusiastic support for 15 state treasurers who are fighting back against the Biden Administration directing private sector investment firms to decarbonize their investment portfolios. The treasurers sent the letter to John Kerry, who serves as President Joe Biden’s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate.
“Common sense strikes back! Joe Biden’s meddling in our private sector economy to push his half-baked climate plan is unethical and un-American and it hurts working class Americans the most,” said Chris Pack, Empowerment Alliance spokesman. “We applaud these state treasurers for fighting fire with fire against the president’s unethical demands.”
