As summer winds down and the kids head back to school, Americans are about to find themselves flooded with information about the upcoming election. Between television ads, candidate debates, fundraising emails and social media posts from friends and family, it can be nearly impossible to sort through all the information and get to the issues that are important to everyday Americans.

In fact, being an informed voter can often feel like a full-time job. That’s why TEA is launching a series of American Energy Scorecards in key congressional races across the country to help American Energy Patriots cut through all the noise and find out where candidates really stand on important issues like energy affordability and security.

TEA reviewed campaign websites, social media accounts and media coverage regarding candidates’ positions on energy issues. From that information, TEA assigned ratings for each candidate:

•  A  ✅ indicates a position that supports a common-sense energy agenda.
• An ❌ indicates a position that opposes affordable, reliable or clean American energy.
•  A ❓indicates that a candidate has not provided enough information to determine their position.

TEA will be launching these scorecards from now until the election on our social media channels to help you decide which candidates in your state will work for affordable, reliable and clean American Energy. Together we can support leaders who will fight for an energy agenda that protects both the budgets of American families and businesses and the security of our entire nation.
