The Empowerment Alliance researched the following candidates by reviewing their campaign websites, social media accounts and any earned media that was available regarding their positions on energy issues. From that information, TEA assigned the accompanying ratings for each candidate. If the candidate indicated support for a 100% renewable energy system, they were not eligible to receive a checkmark on question 1. If the candidate indicated support for renewables but not natural gas, they were not eligible to receive a checkmark on question 2 and 3. Candidates received a checkmark on question three if they gave any indication that they support natural gas OR renewables. Candidates were only eligible to receive a checkmark for question 5 if they received a checkmark on questions 1-4. If the candidates’ position on energy was unclear or vague, they received a question mark.
