It was recently announced that Joe Biden plans to shut down construction of the Keystone XL pipeline as one of his first acts as President. Pipelines like Keystone XL provide American families much-needed access to affordable energy and the economic activity it fuels.

The Keystone XL pipeline could carry over 800,000 barrels of oil a day to the U.S. And, in 2021 alone, the pipeline would create more than 11,000 U.S. jobs and $1.6 billion dollars in wages. Pipelines are also the safest and most efficient means of transporting oil and gas.

Despite all these benefits, Biden has decided one of his first acts as President will be to bend to extremists who oppose energy development and want to block American progress.
