Since the 1950’s, the U.S. has relied heavily on importing foreign energy sources to fuel the nation. But, natural gas is changing that and with it the landscape of American foreign policy.
Natural gas now powers over 30 percent of America’s total energy needs. From 2017 to 2018 alone, U.S. natural gas production grew 11.5%.
As we increasingly take advantage of America’s abundant natural gas resource and become independent from foreign energy sources, we also become safer and stronger as a nation.
