On this Fourth of July, The Empowerment Alliance would like to take a moment to remember that energy independence is essential to the American independence we celebrate today.

Over the last several years, we’ve worked hard to wisely take advantage of our tremendous American natural resources. As a result, we’ve become the world leader in natural gas and oil production, providing affordable, reliable, and clean energy for American families that keeps us safer and more secure.

But, all that hard work is now at risk.

President Biden and his green-at-any-cost followers would sacrifice our energy dominance and security, as he begs places like Venezuela and Saudi Arabia for more oil while crushing our own domestic energy industry. We’ve seen exactly the damage that energy dependence on untrustworthy foreign nations can cause, with Europe being strangled by war and dependence on Russian energy.

That’s why it’s so important to have leaders standing up against Biden’s short-sighted policies like our Declaration of Energy Independence signers and the Congressional leaders sponsoring the Natural Gas is Green resolution. They know that American natural gas is the answer. We must continue to support and grow this kind of leadership to protect America’s independence and energy future.
