AFTERNOON TEA
Afternoon TEA: Nearly 20 million jobs killed in just five years
Did you know?
According to an analysis by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Energy Institute, a ban on hydraulic fracturing would eliminate 19 million jobs by 2025. Almost 20 million jobs gone in just five years!
And, this analysis also found what we already knew—affordable energy from natural gas fuels jobs in all industries, especially in manufacturing. So, while energy producing states would be hard hit by a ban, so too would other states with heavy manufacturing and other job-creating industries.
The last thing American families and workers need are policies that will kill their jobs and raise their bills. Threats to shut down the energy sources that literally fuel America are not a plan, they are a recipe for disaster.
